The company is making money every quarter and growing sales but, as CEO Cliff Sifford put it in the last earnings release, “Consumers shopped closer to need.” My initial reaction to reading that earlier this week was to short SCVL as I did, unsuccessfully so far, with DSW (NYSE:DSW). My uggs 5225 sale logic, as stated in another article, was this: The weather for late in the third quarter was unusually warm and DSW cited in the year ago period strong boot sales from the unusual cold weather.
